Boobies

When are men ever going to come to grips with their obsession with boobies, and I don't mean the blue-footed kind? I accept, men, and many women, will always be attracted, interested, drawn to, keen to have a peak of, etc., cleavage. But it is their own hormonal shortcomings and inability to control themselves, not the display, that is the problem, if there is one. I say, let it all hang out, or in, as the lady determines. The more the merrier in my book. I can control my drooling and lusting and hormones. Evidently too many men cannot, but blame the woman, and they are the ones making life difficult for all the rest of use, particularly the poor woman.

The source of this little rant is the following commentary from a jurist. Not a Taliban cleric, a Supreme Court judge right here in New South Wales. It shows an inability to assess, weigh, listen and discern matters of legal import in an impartial and mature manner, and to my thinking displays a distinct shortcoming in judicial temperment.

THE Supreme Court judge Peter Young reckons some women lawyers have no idea of how to dress in court.

In fact, the chief judge in equity says "unwelcome" displays of flesh can be unsettling - especially when the offenders are well built.

In the latest issue of the Australian Law Journal, Justice Young has penned advice under a column headed "Politeness".

He says "one matter of courtesy" he has been unable to tackle is the sartorial standards of solicitors.

"There is no problem with the bar, as there is a standard form of dress. There has been virtually no problem with male solicitors, who invariably wear jacket, tie and long trousers.

"However, it is clear that some female solicitors have no idea of appropriate court dress. The worst offenders are usually well-built women who expose at least the upper halves of their breasts, and as they lean forward to make a point to a judge sitting at a high level they present a most unwelcome display of bare flesh.
Dressing-down for female lawyers as judge bares his views

Well, if you share a similar view, maybe you could just stare at this until you can get a grip on yourself. No, not that kind of grip. The self-control type. Don't go around spoiling things for the rest of us. And whatever you do, don't blame your issues on the woman. It all starts to get a bit too close to the perils of navel gazing.

Guambat, or can I call you GS?

From the many well endowed woman I have been lucky enough to talk to on this issue the following points need to be considered.

Such woman are intensely aware where mens (and indeed other women's) eyes settle on. They are aware that other women pay $15,000 every 10 or so years (boob jobs) to get the same effect.

Breast size (too big, too small) is one of the first things woman assess when they see another.

So it is not that woman are putting on a display "in a man's world" breast size/appearance is an essential in the female pecking order.

Just as a 6 foot male with broad shoulders will have unearned credibility in the business (or legal?) world an admirable cleavage won't hurt a woman.
