Out of pocket

I've been out of pocket last few days, attending to Stateside friends on a Down Under stopover. While I get back up to snuff, enjoy this. Texas A&M ("Aggies") are the arch rivals to the University of Texas, where I went from 1966-68. It didn't help relationships that many decades ago the Aggies stole "our" mascot longhorn steer and, well, bar-b-qued him. Nor that until fairly recent times that it was a military, all-boy uni. UT folks reckon as how Aggies don't have both oars in the water. Take any Polish/Irish, whatever joke and insert Aggie as the brunt of the joke and you get the idea. Too often they live up to their image. This pic is alleged to be an example of Aggie preparation for the recent Rita Hurricane. Reflect on it.

This is in no way a defense of Aggies, but...

Hi NephBat,
Yeah, I had a hunch there might be more to the story, thus "alleged". BUT, your snope reference proved the point: the bloody contractor was an Aggie, so what are we left to think about that? Wonder if he puts his socks on over his shoes. I'm sure a proper contractor could have come up with a decent fix of the problem.
